Your Bob Marley Ocho Rios excursion begins directly from your hotel or the Ocho Rios cruise ship port.

We embark on a scenic drive to a quaint little village tucked away in the beautiful mountains of St. Ann to the birth and final resting place of the "King of Reggae - Bob Marley. This pilgrimage has been specifically designed for Reggae enthusiasts and hardcore Bob Marley fans, who would like to visit the "Graceland" of Reggae.

En route, enjoy breathtaking views and natural beauty of the tranquil Jamaican country-side; lookout for more than 500 species of ferns and indigenous trees as we endeavor the winding roads of Fern Gully.

On arrival, experience the pleasant, friendly “vibes” that influenced Bob Marley to write lyrics for songs such as “One Love” and “Three Little Birds”.

Feel the spirit of the king of Reggae as your Rastafarian guide share little known insights into Bob Marley's musical career and childhood. He will guide you through the very same house that Bob lived as a young child. A place Bob Marley called home, a place he returned to whenever he needed time to himself, a place high in the mountains where he felt free. Stand on "Mount Zion Rock" where Bob used to meditate and rest his head on "the pillow" made famous in the song "Talking Blues".

The Bob Marley tour ends with a visit to Bob's Mausoleum where he is now entombed. Take a moment to enjoy some of the local fruits and fresh air, before returning back to Ocho Rios for a little duty free shopping.

We had a great time. Our guide Silvan was absolutely amazing!! He was knowledgeable and friendly and we felt comfortable and safe with him. The tour itself was cool. The only part we didn’t like was the hike up the hill. Two of us have knee problems and that little hike about did us in. It’s very uphill and the ground is very uneven. We done the Bob Marley 9 mile tour and I would like to say the whole tour was absolutely amazing the staff of Jaital couldn’t do anymore for you they where first at the gate when we came off the cruise ship to meet us.The driver who done our tour Silvan is the most lovely friendly tour guide I’ve ever had in all the country’s we have visited. Silvan was really great! We appreciated his knowledge of the country and the many conversations we had during both our excursions. It made for two awesome excursions. The tours themselves were also very fun. Our guides at the Irie Blue Hole and Tubing were very friendly and made us feel very comfortable. Shout out to Captain Alex and Shawn. The tour at Nine Mile was a little chaotic, but that was due to the influx of people. Dunn's River Falls was amazing as well. The Bob Marley tour was a fascinating experience. Our driver, Sylvan, was easy to get along with and very friendly. We really liked that we had a private vehicle for the tour as we were able to enjoy it a lot more rather than being on a big tour bus. “Bob Marley Experience”

We were on a cruise that stopped in Ocho Rios but didn't offer any Marley-related excursions so we did our own research and found this tour with Jaital. The staff was very professional and cordial from the original booking to the final drop-off back at the port. The trip from Ocho Rios to Nine Mile is over an hour long, much of it over narrow, bumpy rural roads, but we had complete trust in our driver, Silvan. We were able to see some awesome scenery, including lush Fern Gully, and we passed through several small towns and settlements along the way. The ride was definitely part of the overall Jamaican experience. The Bob Marley museum is small, as is the home site area, but for true Marley fans, it's awesome to see the place where he was born, to sit on his favorite rock, and to light a candle at his mausoleum. (You can buy a candle for $1 at the gift stand at the entrance.) His mother and brother are also entombed on the site. There is a small gift shop and a snack bar where you can buy food, ice cream and cold drinks, including beer. The home site and mausoleums are a short walk up a paved hill and visitors should be aware that they must remove their shoes once at the home site. Silvan was full of information and had a terrific sense of humor. No question he richly enhanced our tour. I wouldn't hesitate to use Jaital again in the future. [TripAdvisor] more...

It was one of the best days of our holiday, our only gripe would have been for a wider selection of Bob Marley music in the car. It was just the Legend album on loop. But that is splitting hairs. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and helpful, Nine miles was fun and interesting and the Dunns River Falls was just the tonic we needed afterwards.

The Bob Marley mausoleum was really good, and it was pleasing that there\'s was no one trying to sell us drugs or anything at the site which was what all the reviews had warned us about - not what you want with small children! Booked a tour with jaital to visit Bob Marleys as we have a 16 year old daughter and couldn\'t do the one off the cruise ship because she was under age. A lovely man drove us (I can\'t remember his name), it was awesome, was just our family so no large crowds we could talk to the driver and ask him questions, when we arrived at bobs we had beaten all the buses their so it was just us again so we could really enjoy the atmosphere and not have to battle with people to take photos etc, he then took us a different way home through beautiful fern gully and took us too a look out. Booked a Bob Marley and Dunns River Falls private tour with Jaitai Tours from the UK. Our cruise stop was short, just 5 hours, also no on board tour available. So time was tight. Plenty of previous good reviews for Jaital and it turned out an excellent day for us too. Many folk offering a multitude of local tours but was pointed to where our reps would be. Expecting us, paid the balance and a 20 minute wait for our driver, Sylvan and a small SUV. I asked if there was enough time to do everything but was assured there was and stop for a quick Jamaican lunch. Sylvan was informative and most helpful. A speedy, thankfully - we needed this to get around in time, but safe driver. Luckily we and one couple were the only ones at Nine Miles and leisurely walked around the mausoleum. He also said there was no need to join a group to climb The Falls, it could take over an hour, that you could make it on your own. The entrance fees were included in the tour. He waited outside, we made our way down to the beach, it was a hot day and there were many people. I made it to the top in 20 minutes. Had jerk chicken in the back of the vehicle and easily made it back to the ship on time. Jaital and Sylvan were friendly, efficient and reliable. Thanks for a great day. We booked a private combined Bob Marley Nine Miles and Dunn’s River falls tours with Jaital for our Ocho Rios port stop. We ended up saving about US$125 by booking both tours plus an Ocho Rios overview with Jaital directly rather than using our cruise line’s excursions desk! Our driver was late to collect us and this worried us as we had a jam-packed day of things to do & see. In the end we were rushing quite abit and we had to cut our time at Dunn’s River falls short in order to make it back to the ship on time. Our driver, Sylvan was a great tour guide. We felt safe and comfortable with him and his driving skills. He gladly stopped wherever and whenever we wanted to take photos which was nice as when you’re on a tour bus there are only pre-planned stops. So for this fact alone, I would highly recommend a private tour. The scenic drive to Nine Miles through the countryside of Saint Ann Parish was amazing! This was as, or more, enjoyable than actually touring Bob Marley’s home and resting place. Our other memorable experience was having a freshly-cooked roast yam lunch prepared just for us by a very kind farmer who lived in the area. We enjoyed watching him roasting the yams on the traditional coal pot while his donkey stood nearby. It was so delicious and we will always remember this special lunch! Once we got back to town, we then went on to Dunn’s river falls. It was abit of a rushed trip as we were running short on time. So we joined a group walking up the falls from the halfway point and Sylvan took pics for us. He was very adept at guiding us past the hawkers and people offering to sell us things we didn’t need. Then we stopped briefly at a nearby shopping plaza to purchase some souvenirs & postcards and dropped us back in time to our ship. The Bob Marley-Nine Miles and Dunns River Falls excursions were incredible. First our driver “Alphonso” was absolutely fantastic. He is very knowledgeable of the history, culture and current affairs of Jamaica. He made us feel safe and treated us like family. He is very easy going and has professional mannerism as he toured with us creating a relaxing, entertaining atmosphere. Alphonso made our excursions that more enjoyable. Alphonso wasn’t just our driver but he became our friend. He always had our best interest in hand. Told us how to handle agressive vendors and our belongings were safe when left in his van. He is truly an asset to Jaital. He was highly recommended by a co-worker and I am so glad that I was able to meet him for myself. I will definately link up with him the next time I visit Jamaica. Captain Crazy at the Bob Marley-Nine Miles was also very knowledgeable, easy going person and kept the tour exciting and enjoyable. We had quite a few laughs with him too.
