After meeting your guide at the Belize tender terminal, board a comfortable boat for the 30-minute ride to the tropical island of Goff's Caye and its neighboring extraordinary reef. Along the way, you will pass mangrove islands, which are natural habitats for brown boobies, cormorants and terns and possibly the Frigate birds. Its not uncommon to spot bottlenose dolphins.
Goff's Caye can only be described as your own little piece of paradise. Goffs Caye sits on the Belize Barrier Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is considered one of the most fascinating reef systems in the world. With the island actually being part of the coral reef, there is no need to jump in a boat and go anywhere else. The coral reef surrounds the island just a few feet off the beach. Whether it's working on your tan, building sand castles or simply enjoying the crystal blue waters, this tiny little island still offers the ultimate beach experience for the entire family!
Goffs Caye island is approximately 1.2 acres. There are no beach chairs; here you spread your towel out on the white sand beach or under a swaying palm. There are no restaurants, either; locals are here selling picnic style BBQ, chicken kabobs, grilled lobster tails (when in season), cold beers, sodas and coconuts are also for sale.
Snorkeling at Goffs Caye island is awesome, so it's perfect for beginners and those with experience. Snorkel gears are provided but you can bring your own. Your guides will be there to assist you throughout the day and when the excursion comes to an end they will take you back to the Belize cruise ship terminal.

Great experience!
The people were courteous and professional. Their knowledge of the reef and navigating the islands is excellent. We were able to experience wild life including sharks and sting rays. We also had time to relax at the beach bar in Caye Calker.
